Standards
All glass and aluminium Installations carried out by
Active Glass are in accordance with the South African
Glass and Glazing Association (SAGGA) Code of Conduct.
The products we manufacture meet the stringent codes of
manufacturing practice specified by the Companies whose
Architectural Aluminium Systems we utilise.
Memberships
Active Glass Services are members of the South African
Glass and Glazing Association (SAGGA) and we are
Authorised Dealers in the range of SMARTGLASS products.
Quality Management
Active Glass has a comprehensive quality programme
which encompasses not only our manufacturing operations
but also our administrative procedures, installations,
occupational health and safety and industrial relations.
Occupational Health and Safety
We have a strong culture of safety within our
organization, with regular safety training for our
workforce. This training is primarily conducted in a
“hands on” fashion and focuses on the latest safety
trends. We have a qualified Workplace Trainer and
Assessor on our staff.
Black Economic Empowerment (BEE)
We are currently formalizing our application for BEE
Accreditation however points to note are:
Our workforce comprises 69% black people and 14% females
Of our management and supervisory staff, 60% are black
and 20% female
Industrial Relations
Active Glass has an enviable industrial relations record
with one of the lowest staff turnover rates in our
industry.
Social Responsibility
Active Glass has an active social responsibility
programme which we have progressively developed over the
period of our operation. In particular we support
organizations that help disabled and disadvantaged
children as we believe that the youth of South Africa
are our greatest asset.
